about me

Isha Naik was born in San Francisco, later moving to Atlanta and finally to Philadelphia. She has lived in Philly for most of her life, and she attends school in Germantown. Isha is warmly accustomed to the city’s vibrant murals, art museums, and art shows.

After taking oil painting classes among other subjects at the Fleisher Art memorial, Isha found that she was particularly passionate about oil painting and expanding her understanding of art. After connecting with an experienced artist and painter at the Rittenhouse Square Fine Art Show, she began to take one-on-one oil painting lessons.

Isha is particularly drawn to the pursuit of linking her love of STEM subjects such as Physics and Biology to her love of creating art. She also enjoys essay writing, occasionally updating her portfolio-site with blog posts about her art-related experiences.

Often creating her works at her lessons or at an easel in her home, Isha references art books, images, and environmental compositions. She particularly enjoys the works of Impressionist painters Berthe Morisot, Mary Cassatt, and Édouard Manet.
